SurveyTale Plans: Free, Pro, and Ultra

SurveyTale offers three plans so you can start collecting feedback for free and scale up as your needs grow. This article explains what each plan is designed for, how the tiers differ at a high level, and how to upgrade and manage your billing.

The three plans at a glance

  • Free — The best place to start. Build and publish surveys, share them, and view responses. The Free plan applies usage limits and reserves some advanced capabilities for paid plans, making it ideal for trying SurveyTale, running small projects, or validating an idea.
  • Pro — Built for growing teams that need more headroom and additional capabilities than the Free plan provides. Pro raises usage limits and unlocks features beyond what's available for free, while some of the most advanced tools remain part of Ultra.
  • Ultra — The complete SurveyTale experience. Ultra unlocks everything: all integrations, removal of SurveyTale branding, AI-powered tools, and the full set of advanced features. Choose Ultra when you want no usage ceilings on capabilities and access to every tool SurveyTale offers.

How the plans differ

Rather than memorizing a feature-by-feature breakdown, it helps to think about the plans in terms of two things:

  1. Usage limits — The Free and Pro plans apply limits to how much you can use certain parts of SurveyTale. Free has the tightest limits, Pro is more generous, and Ultra removes these ceilings.
  2. Feature access — Some capabilities are reserved for higher tiers. The most advanced features — including all integrations, branding removal, and AI tools — are unlocked on Ultra.

For the current, exact list of limits and features included in each plan, check the Pricing or Plans page in your SurveyTale account, where the up-to-date details are always shown.

What Ultra unlocks

Ultra is designed to remove friction entirely. With Ultra you get:

  • All integrations — Connect SurveyTale to the other tools in your stack without restriction.
  • Branding removal — Present surveys without SurveyTale branding for a cleaner, white-labeled experience.
  • AI tools — Use SurveyTale's AI-powered features to work with your survey data more efficiently.
  • Advanced features — Access the full set of advanced capabilities that aren't included on Free or Pro.

How to upgrade your plan

You can move to a paid plan at any time from within your account:

  1. Log in to your SurveyTale account.
  2. Open Settings and look for the Billing (or Plans) section.
  3. Review the available plans and select the one that fits your needs — Pro or Ultra.
  4. Choose your billing cycle if prompted, then enter your payment details.
  5. Confirm the change. Your new plan's features and limits take effect once the upgrade is processed.

If you don't see these options, make sure you're signed in as a workspace owner or an administrator with permission to manage billing.

Managing your billing

All of your billing settings live in the Billing section of your account. From there you can typically:

  • Review your current plan and see which features and limits apply.
  • Update your payment method when a card expires or changes.
  • View invoices and receipts for your records.
  • Change or cancel your plan as your needs evolve.

Changing or canceling

You can switch plans or cancel at any time from the same Billing section:

  • Upgrading generally takes effect right away, giving you immediate access to the higher tier's features and limits.
  • Downgrading or canceling moves you to a lower tier or back to Free. After the change, any features or usage above the new plan's limits may no longer be available, so review your surveys and settings to make sure everything still fits.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan should I start with?

Start with Free. It lets you build surveys, share them, and view responses so you can get comfortable with SurveyTale. When you hit a usage limit or need a feature that's reserved for a paid tier, upgrade to Pro or Ultra.

What happens to my surveys and responses if I downgrade?

Your surveys and the responses you've already collected stay in your account. However, capabilities tied to a higher plan — and anything beyond your new plan's usage limits — may become unavailable until you upgrade again.

Where can I see the exact limits and pricing?

Always refer to the Pricing or Plans page in your SurveyTale account for the current details. That's the authoritative source for exactly what each plan includes.

Why is a feature showing as locked?

If a feature appears locked or prompts you to upgrade, it's reserved for a higher plan. Check the plan comparison in your account to see which tier includes it — most advanced features, integrations, branding removal, and AI tools are part of Ultra.
